Exciting Times!

 I made a promise to several people I would start a blog when we bought a house. I thought it would be a cool way to share the transformation of our new digs with friends and family whenever that time might be.  

It's trendy. Everyone is doing it. I want to fit in. This also means after waiting weeks to hear back on an offer we made on a short sale, we received word on October 28 (my birthday) that we are going to be homeowners! 

So, I think it is safe to say it was the best birthday ever. It's been a lengthy processes in which my patience has been challenged, but we're so excited. Anything can happen until we have the keys in our hands, but we're looking at making that happen by the end of November! We have loved living in the intern house and have had made great memories here, but there is so much we are looking forward to:

1. having housing that is indefinite.
2. a large gathering area that will seat more than 8 people
3. dishwasher (hello extra free time!)
4. finished basement
5. garbage disposal
6. 2 fire places
7. a neighborhood
8. a garage
9. front porch + rocking chairs
10. Joining the rest of the population in indebtedness... oh joy

My list could go on and on. More details will definitely come later. We're not doing any construction on the house, just cosmetic work. It should be a pretty interesting adventure.

In other birthday news... I've officially converted. We're now a 2-Mac household. Sorry DELL... you just wasted too much of my time to ever reconsider.
