This week I got to hear a childhood hero, Dominque Dawes, as the keynote speaker at the Indiana Youth Institute: Kids Count In Indiana Conference. As a 8-year old girl during the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, Dominique and her teammates were my heroes. I even still have a Magnificent Seven poster hanging on the door of my old room at my parents house. Now that I've gotten to see one of them, I can probably take it down.
I LOVE this conference, but the shopping, dining, and quality time we had as a team is just as valuable. I think we're already strategizing for next year.
Happy Friday!
